Albert Wisner Library, Warwick (ages 5-8)

Free Youth Arts Class

We invite families and children to join Orange County Arts Council at the Albert Wisner Library in Warwick, NY with Agrisculpture Amy as we design and create “Summer Animals”.

Please make sure that this class is age appropriate for your child.

Materials are provided. Registration in required. Please see additional guidelines and policies on our website.

Did you know that you can experience certain animals more strongly in the Summer than other months within our Hudson Valley region? Join AGRISCULPTURE Amy at Warwick’s Albert Wisner Public Library to learn about a dozen NY Summer animal friends – then create your very own animal sculpture from natural, recycled and craft materials to bring home! From Mountain Lions to Turtles to Rabbits – meet the locals who roam around the mountains, marshes and fields of our incredible backyard!

Meet the art teacher: Amy Lewis Sweetman

AGRISCULPTURE Amy loves to create metal sculpture informed by nature and farm equipment, to restore the Earth by foraging abandoned agricultural machinery as media and to teach environmental awareness – giving youth / public workshops involving recycled materials and the creative process of adaptive reuse. Born and raised in Orange County, NY – Amy studied Architecture at Cornell University, worked as an Architect in Dubai, UAE as well as a Film Production Designer in Los Angeles, CA before moving back to Orange County, NY to launch her own design practice. AGRISCULPTURE Amy is celebrating 10 years of AGRISCULPTURE this year, and can’t wait to meet you all at her 4 brand new Summer Workshops held through Orange County Arts Council and the Jarrett Markel Creativity Bootcamp. See you there!
