Artist-In-Vacancy is a creative initiative addressing vacancy & abandonment in Newburgh by re-imagining site as places for community engagement, artistic production, aesthetic & cultural research, and renewed inhabitation. This year’s residency program runs from September 1st through November 30th, 2020. All events and exhibitions are open and free to the public. Artist-In-Vacancy is made possible with funds from the Newburgh Community Land Bank as well as the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.
