Rock Tavern UU Presents Sculptor Eric Stein’s Works
You probably know what goes into creating a sculpture – carving, modeling, castings, construction. But what life forces help create a sculptor?
A decades-long journey through engineering and art schools, travel and study through Italy, teaching at the college level, painting, designing, sculpting and creating an art handling business in an old pickle factory in Brooklyn were some of the building blocks of internationally renowned sculptor Eric Stein’s career.
You can find his works – both monumental and small – in galleries, shows and parks throughout the United States. And, in December, you can view some of his creations at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern. The formal gallery opening will be Saturday, Dec. 11, from noon to 3 p.m. and the gallery is now open by appointment on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays by calling Mike Landrum at 845-851-6024.
