Live virtual performances – Hudson Valley Gives
May 20 - May 21
Hudson Valley Gives is Wednesday, May 20th. You’ll have 24 hours (one day!) to give where your heart is! Check into Hudson Valley Gives and visit our support page at https://www.hvgives.org/organ…/orange-county-ny-arts-council.
Stay tuned for LIVE online events Orange County Arts Council will host. We’ll be #TogetherInArt showcasing snippets of performances throughout the day on our Facebook page. Your donations will make all the difference to Orange County’s arts community.
At noon, take a Power Hour Lunch Break with jazz musician and keyboardist Neal Alexander on Facebook. He’ll entertain you with a wonderful live performance. Neil is a world renowned pianist, synthesist, keyboardist & composer who works with music in all forms and styles (including jazz, rock, funk, blues, electronica, ambient and contemporary classical). He is also active in production, llve sound engineering, theater, modern dance and film. In 2015 Neil was awarded Individual Artist of the Year by the Orange County Arts Council.
Enjoy a play with your dinner at 7:30 pm on Facebook. Eliana Ulloa and Raymond Aponte appear in a live reading of the 10-minute play, Camera Obscura, written by Robert Patrick and directed by Paul Ellis. Voiceovers by Paul Ellis and Paige Dillon.
When a computer matched man and woman meet via long distance television, a transmission time lag results in crossed questions and crooked answers, misunderstandings, tears, and a surprise resolution. Although written approximately half of a century ago, this play illuminates the nuances of dating during Covid-19.
We look forward to seeing you on Facebook tomorrow and thank you in advance for supporting Orange County Arts Council!
