Soljoi77 is a NY R&B band, blending the flavors of Neosoul, Dance, Hip Hop, and Jazz. Soljoi77 is comprised of singer/lyricist CHAYA, and producer/composer Chris Hutz. They met and bonded over a love of R&B music. After playing covers they were inspired to write their own songs.

Soljoi77’s songs explore romance, self-love, spirituality, and desire, in pursuit of personal evolution. Through the positive energy in their songs, Soljoi77 hopes listeners will be uplifted and will attract more joy, love, empowerment, and peace into their lives.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, CHAYA grew up with a passion for Hip Hop, R&B, and NeoSoul which shaped her musical style. Her life purpose has been about bringing joy and healing through beautiful mediums and self-expression. She has a background in speech language pathology, energetic healing, singing, dance, yoga, and aromatherapy. A lifelong participant in self inquiry and a romantic at heart, these facets set the stage for her song writing. CHAYA expresses herself in ornate language set over a landscape of fun and sensual music.

Chris loves music, video games, and cats. Not necessarily in that order. He started playing organ around the age of ten and bought his first synthesizer at 15. He has been playing and writing since then. While he truly enjoys all kinds of music, he has a particular fondness for 70s and 80s R&B and Dance music.

On March 25, 2022, their first EP entitled “Shores of Opulence” will be released through LA based LabHits Record Label.

They have independently released 8 singles since January 2020. “Damn It Feels Good to Be a Woman”, “Here With Me”, “Slippery”, “Luminous Love”, “Dance With Me”,  “Damn It Feels Good to Be a Woman-SUNSHINE MIX”, “Take It Down”, and their latest “All My Love”. Their music is available for purchase on the Music Store page and through all streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube. See  contact page for links to their music.

Soljoi77 is currently writing, recording, and producing new music for upcoming releases. They are also in rehearsal with their full band which is comprised of CHAYA (singer), Chris Hutz (keyboards), Matt Blaser (bass), Dave Miller (drums), and David Hollander (guitar) for performances in the Hudson Valley, NY.

Taylor Plas is an Americana/Soul/Folk singer/songwriter based in New York.

Drawing from a deep emotional well reminiscent of torch singers from days of old, like Patsy Cline, Etta James, and Amy Winehouse, Taylor Plas stops the clocks and breaks hearts with their soulful, spitfire vocals and charming acoustic self-accompaniment. A regular performer at New York’s Jalopy Theatre, East Village Social, Starr Bar, and Unruly Collective, you can generally catch them crooning on both nostalgic classics and new releases, solo and with bands.

Their vocal stylings can be heard with soul-pop outfit Noise Downstairs, swampy roots-rock band Mama Juke, and with queer psychedelic bubblegum doo-wop group The Royale Minks.

Their debut solo album Slow to Tune is available on BandCamp, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music and other streaming platforms, as well as on CD format. For CDs, please inquire using the contact form at the bottom of this page.
