Virtual Studio Visit: Amy Lewis Sweetman

Thursday, July 21st 5pm

Celebrating 10 years of AGRISCULPTURE this year, Newburgh-born artist Amy Lewis Sweetman founded her design practice on one of the last working Dairy Farms in Orange County – Sweetman Farms of Warwick during 2012. Her mission and the mission of AGRISCULPTURE is to create metal sculpture informed by nature and farm equipment, to restore the Earth by foraging abandoned agricultural machinery as media and to teach environmental awareness – giving free / youth / public workshops involving recycled materials and the creative process of adaptive reuse. Amy loves what she does and is excited to share her outdoor AGRISCULPTURE studio with you!

Registration is required to attend this virtual event. You will be emailed the event link and password to login before the event. Access to the virtual studio visits is free for members of Orange County Arts Council. A donation of $10 is suggested of non-members.

This program is made possible in part through the support of New York State Council on the Arts, Orange County Government, Shapiro’s furniture, and from donations from people like you. Please consider making a donation today.
