The Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern presents a solo exhibit by award-winning artist Mitchell Saler. On display are 25 of his realistic oil landscape paintings. The exhibit will be on view from August 1 – October 31, 2021. A reception will be held Saturday, September 11 from 4-7pm where you can meet the artist and enjoy light refreshments.
His paintings encompass scenes of the local Hudson Valley area, the Catskills, the Finger Lakes region, and more. In his landscapes, he enjoys conveying vastness, dramatic lighting, and atmospheric effects. Mitchell Saler states, “After the pandemic delayed this exhibit for so long, it is wonderful to finally be holding it at this beautiful location. Thank you to the congregation and the Wallkill River School of Art in Montgomery, NY for coordinating the show.” The exhibit may be viewed by appointment on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
