  • Since relocating to Orange County from Manhattan eight years ago, Fine Artist and Illustrator Karen E. Gersch has developed a line of hand painted crafts that focus on nature, animals and local scenics. Her more commercial work lies in restoring vintage carousel animals, creating backdrops for theatrical productions and curating large scale art exhibitions for galleries, art centers, universities and small museums. Recent private commissions include the BBC and Patty Hearst. She likes to combine the appeal of animals and food portraits with functional materials, primarily wood and fabric.
